1. Securing cargo

Bungee cords with clips work brilliantly for securing cargo or loads in the back of vehicles. Nobody likes the idea of our items rolling or moving around in the boot when we’re driving, a bungee cord or two can sort that out for you. 

2. Strapping yoga mats

So simple and effective, bungee cords can be easily strapped around your yoga mats to make them easier for carrying, transporting and storing. 

3. Hanging toy zip line for the car

Make those road trips and journeys more fun for your little ones by hanging a bungee cord up and clipping or hooking it onto the handles at the back of the car from each end. Simply attach all your children’s favourite toys for them to be greeted by when they get in the car and play with.

4. Baby gate

5. Add nets or curtains

10. One-trip wheelbarrow

11. Strap down wrapping paper

This one is very creative. Use plywood with handles or hooks to strap down all your rolls of wrapping paper. Simply hook or clip down your bungee cords in a cross position to keep all the rolls in place, then slide them under the bed out of the way – genius.

12. Keep the Christmas tree in place

If you have pets that like to climb the festive tree, keeping it in place to combat that is so easy to do with a bungee cord clipped to the main stalk. This particularly works well if you have it in the corner to hide the bungee cord at the back. You can attach the other end to a curtain pole, curtain hook or wall hook. 

13. Make shelf barriers

Bungee cords are perfect for narrow shelves to make barriers, stopping things from falling. Depending on what you’re putting up on the shelves, have one, two or a few cords across to form the barriers, and simply attach them from both ends.

14. Hang up cargo in the car

Whether it’s the back of the car or in the boot, you can attach a bungee cord high up across your vehicle to hang your shopping or more fragile items. You can use the back seat headrest poles to attach the cord so that bags can stand upright. 

15. Create great toy storage boxes

Use a bookshelf with the inner panels removed or an open box to store away stuffed animal toys, outdoor games, balls, toys etc. All you need to do is to attach bungee cords either horizontally or vertically, parallel to one another, by clipping or hooking onto drilled holes to the sides to keep them in place.
